On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks, an African-American seamstress, left work and boarded a bus for home. As the bus became crowded, the bus driver ordered Parks to give up her seat to a white passenger. The buses were segregated with the whites up front and the blacks in the back. She felt that she was done with the segregation and the humiliation that the white people were putting towards her and her race. She refuse to give up her seat to a person who was no different than she was. The bus driver had her arrested for said actions. She knew that the time had come to stop listening and obeying everything the white man had to say. The time had come for them to stand up and show they were as equal and as diligent as everyone else. They had every equal right and they still do. Martin Luther King Jr, gave her that right by leading the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which brout thousands together to unite against the terrinies which were brought upon them.
